You will plan and run the field programmes and drilling that test our models’ predictions, and feed every result, positive or negative, back into them. Many of our targets are under cover.
What your first year looks like
- Generate and rank targets using our prospectivity models, regional geology, geophysics and geochemistry.
- Run mapping, sampling, trenching and ground geophysics programmes.
- Design and supervise drilling, including logging, sampling and QA/QC.
- Log core for lithology, alteration, veining and mineralisation in a consistent scheme, with portable XRF and SWIR.
- Work with the applied mathematics team to choose each next hole by the information it adds.
- Manage permits, contractors, landholders and field safety.
You have:
- A geology degree (MSc preferred) and 5+ years in mineral exploration, including running drill programmes.
- Working knowledge of at least one deposit type: porphyry Cu–Au–Mo, IOCG, VMS, magmatic Ni–Cu–PGE or orogenic gold.
- Core logging, alteration mapping and QA/QC with standards, blanks and duplicates.
- GIS, and Leapfrog or similar.
- Willingness to spend long periods in remote field areas.
Nice to have:
- Exploration under cover.
- JORC or NI 43-101 reporting, or Competent Person status.
- Exploration experience in India.
