Interns own a scoped project, work with our ML engineers and scientists, and present their results to the company. Where the work is publishable, we publish it. Open to PhD students and exceptional Master’s and undergraduate students. Tell us which project interests you and when you are available.
Example projects
- Self-supervised encoders for hyperspectral drill-core scans.
- Neural-operator surrogates for geophysical forward models.
- Diffusion priors over 3D geology, conditioned on boreholes.
- Positive-unlabelled prospectivity mapping with spatially blocked validation.
- Planning drillhole sequences inside a learned world model.
- Calibration metrics for spatial posteriors.
You have:
- Enrolment in a PhD, Master’s or undergraduate programme in ML, computer science, statistics, mathematics, physics or the Earth sciences.
- Strong Python, and PyTorch or JAX.
- A project or thesis you can discuss in depth.
Nice to have:
- Experience with geospatial or scientific data.
